About the Blog

Hello and welcome to TassyBakes!

I’m Tassy (yep, that’s my full name) and I started this blog as a complete baking amateur back in 2013. I was a slightly bored English student at the time and the majority of my creations were improvised in a predictably ill equipped kitchen and fed to my gannet-like housemates.

What started as a hobby soon turned into an obsession and I found myself writing recipes and photographing food at every spare moment. I then decided I would quite like to make a career in the food industry, so after my graduation in 2015 enrolled in the professional chef diploma at Leiths School of Food and Wine.

Since leaving Leiths in July (2016) I have been working in food full time and am still growing my blog. I aim to get my tested recipes out each week and hope they inspire you (whether that be through flavours or decorations) to get into the kitchen and get baking.

Please let me know if you try out any of my recipes- I’d love to see your results.

Thanks for stopping by and please come back again!

Tassy

Hello! Thanks for the follow 🙂 Given that I’m at terriblecatastrophes.wordpress.com it seems we’re writing about kind of opposite subject matter – but really looking forward to reading more of your stuff! Also, yay for art history!

Thanks for following my blog! Love to see that you are from north of London. I lived there for a bit, although only visited the more idyllic area further north. I’ll enjoy reading your blog too. All the best!

Ah thankyou what lovely comments! Your recipes look great and even though I don’t need to be gluten free, I wouldn’t mind if I could have your food on the menu!
